Yeah. Similar for my Dad. The Missouri DNR used to say any feline more than (I think 200 feet but that could be wrong) away from a barn or house was wreaking havoc on pheasant, quail, rabbits. A cat that is fed is inherently healthy and fit and will hunt for fun. They never fed their barn cats, “You want to eat? Catch mice and rats.”
