I watched a TV news report on frantic efforts to remove debris from the last hurricane in Florida before Milton comes ashore. The debris lining the streets was about shoulder high. Milton was up to cat 5 and much larger than Helene.

If I lived there I would pack up things I considered irreplacable and head north. I would also take a couple Jerry cans, a couple k in cash, and a tent/sleeping bags. It may be hard to find a motel room along the way. Imagine trying to bug out with a battery operated car!

Watching the news this morning, I-75 is already crowded and there are lines at the gas stations. I think Quivox is from Florida but I'm not sure. Hopefully everyone makes it out in good shape. |
