Empathy

I have a friend who works for the red cross. She was saying today the red cross can't get places for people to stay because of the number of hotels the city and state have illegals staying in.

If you live where there are hurricanes you have to build to a code that gives the house a fighting chance of resisting a hurricane.
If you live where earthquakes are common, you have to build your house to stand up to an earthquake.
But if you live in an area that burns on a regular basis, you can build your house out of materials which will burn like gasoline and that is OK.

A lot of these folks just had their homeowners insurance cancelled at the start of the year. Why? Because democrat politicians made it impossible for insurance companies to insure homes and remain profitable. And the money the taxpayers asked to be spent over a decade ago on reservoirs for things like droughts and giant fires still hasn't been spent.

I'll pray that the people get fed up and start lynching the politicians they've elected. It amazes me the newsome and the mayor of LA are walking around in the wide open with TV cameras in tow. Someone is going to decide since they have lost everything now is the time to take it to "the man".
