Ernie

Back in '73 me and Ernie were hunting in the cabinet mountains. We were 2 days from the road when he got bit by a rattler. The standard first aid procedure was to cut the area at the bite and suck the poison out. Anyway, there was no such things as a cellphone to call for help on so we tried to make it back to the pickup. He didn't make it and I sure do miss him.
He might've made it if he wasn't taking a leak when he got bit.
