I’m here- a little less wind in my sails

I’ve been AWOL for a couple weeks. I spent entirely too many hours sitting in a Chicago hospital over those days. My sweet, gentle sister passed away on Tuesday evening. My other sister and I, my wife and brother-in-law, and most of her nieces and nephews were by her side as she quietly passed. Her heart, big enough to love us all so well, wasn’t strong enough to keep her alive.

I am so sorry to hear that brother! Prayers incoming for you and your family. I understand your pain. My only sibling, older sister, died in a car crash when I was stationed in Adak, AK. It was a long, lonely flight back to SC. Don't hesitate to share your grief here. We're your other family.

Sorry to hear of the passing of your sister. The way things are going in this world, she may be ahead of the game, gone to a better place before this one gets worse. Prayers for your strength and comfort in these trying times.

My condolences, sir. It was good that she was with loved ones as she passed away.
