I'm amazed

I've never watched TV much but now that I'm retired I am.  I'm amazed at all the pomp and ceremony going on. It's going on to 8 hours now. The Mississippi Valley college marching band was PHENOMENAL! 
I talked a friend in a Seattle suburb and he reported that the amount of fireworks in his neighborhood this morning was incredible. Could it be that even in far left Seattle the tide is turning?  Nah, that's just wishful thinking.

I was watching too, expecting to see the Texarkana, TX High School Band perform. I guess they got knocked out due to time constraints. A real shame those kids worked so hard to raise money for the trip and then not get to perform.

Personally I hate watching TV, but have had Fox News on while planning this summers vacation (dreaming) and looking at IG and X 

ya, the pomp & ceremonies around such an vent are insane as is the security & trying to keep track of everything is a daunting task

I thought Valley was given way too much time. At least 2-3 high school bands could have performed after having worked hard to earn money to make the trip.

 Hopefully they'll be deporting that alien's body to Hell soon.

I really didn't think about that but you make a valid point. Valley's performance was quite long
