I'm sitting here trying to remember the last time I pulled a trigger on a live round. I've done some dry firing but am pretty sure the last shot I fired was squirrel hunting at the end of 2021 or start of 2022. It really isn't a shortage of ammo, I have a decent stockpile especially of .17, it is more of a lack of time and a place.
But I swing by here to hear your thoughts, even the not gun related ones.
I really miss our âZombie Shootsâ at my club. Theyâre really just an excuse to train, but if you call it a âzombieâ youâre not practicing to shoot real, live people. They set up scenarios to âpie the roomâ, terrorist zombies who took hostages, and my personal favorite; zombies with skateboardsâŚ
The group who ran the Zombies got crossways of the board and a bunch of political crap ensued. The family who mostly ran it quit the club and the fudds on the board said, âWe donât need them, we have IDPA shoots.â But IDPA wants you to pre register and prepay for the season and commit to attend⌠I canât do that (Zombies were a âcome when you canâ arrangement).
So, I havenât quit shooting altogether, and I still hunt, but I go to the range a lot less these days.
