I bought a couple pounds of cherries at the store. Even though I know better, I set the bag down in front of me. I ate better than a lb of them. I'm going to pay for that but they're so good! Cherries are the only fruit I get carried away with. It's probably a good thing the season is short.
It's cherry time!

Is this bing cherry??
I have no idea. They're just cherries.
Michigan is a major producer of sweet cherries, and I've been known to eat them by the pound.
The best thing I've ever had made from cherries is only available in cherry country (AFAIK), and that is cherry cider. I can drink that stuff by the gallon! Had no idea…..mom got cherries by the flat & we all loved them, the wife does not like them ☹️☹️
I’m assuming you can still get fresh cherries the end of July, don’t think we could make it any sooner….. Was not planning on going down towards Traverse City but now looking at re routing down that way and somehow around Chicago….Just wanted to avoid Illinois completely |
