I just read about his passing on. He was, in my opinion, one of the best gun writers in today's world.
RIP, Mike!

I remember his occasional stories about his friend shrapnel who I assumed was a fictional character. Eventually he got shrapnel to join the forum cast boolits and I realized shrapnel was a real guy. He got the nickname for blowing up a few old revolvers. Anyway, Mike didn't do puff pieces about the latest releases from Smith and Wesson/Ruger, etc. like Ross Seyfried, he wrote about older guns. The last I remember he was into WW2 machine guns/sub machine guns. |
