How do you pack & transport both firearms, ammo and targets to the range??

My range bag is stupidly heavy with ammo & 2 pistols so I’m trying to figure out how best to transport handguns, ammo and targets and all associated mandatory crap

Normally I load up all mags & call it good.

Dont take any extra ammo as 1 hour is max I can tolerate shooting but am planning a day long trip to a remote grassland area with 2 guys I’ve known since kindergarten so I’m filling a ammo can with extra ammo & mag loaders & trying to work this out

I have a backpack for targets and a pack for guns and ammo- I have to let my shoulders and back help because of the weight. Just a hand carried bag or case is usually too much

I use a multi-pocket range bag for all the doodads. I load up all the mags and/or ammo boxes in an ammo can. I pre-attach the backers and targets to the uprights and toss them in the bed of my truck. Water and lunch goes in the cooler on the back seat. Guns in cases. I'll usually shoot only 1 type of gun per range session. Makes it easier to stay organized and remember what I'm doing.

Handguns go in bag with all the little stuff. My ammo is usually bulk so I just load the big boxes into the vehicle. Long guns in soft cases. Targets piled on top. The range I belong to has parking within five feet of the benches. I just work out of the vehicle and put guns in the bench.

I carry whatever I need out the front door, set up a target and shoot. If I need something else, I step back inside and get it.
