Worked up loads for the Grendel using 100gr Amax, Lapua brass, 8028xbr and rem 7 1/2s. It started out good, 29.3grs gave me a group measuring.325. Low pressure with very sooty necks. Then things went south, nothing under 1". I brought my arbor press, Harrel measure, and wilson seating die. Loaded more at 29.3 and they weren't much good either. Decided to try it with the suppressor and discovered the thread protector was about 1 turn from finger tight. Hmm, no wonder it wouldn't shoot.
Usually it's the nut behind the trigger but it turned out to be the one at the muzzle. Well, I guess the nut behind the trigger should've check it.
