The problem with bread pudding

I really like bread pudding with bourbon sauce.  Unfortunately, it requires bourbon which I also like.
Anyhoo, there's this boddle of burbon zhitting here in fronsh of me.  It doshnt reely affeksh me thatsh mush but othersh shay it dush.

Normally it would be made with stale bread but the day old store is 25 miles each way, not worth the drive.
I've cut up some french bread to let it dry a bit for tomorrow. I've managed to do find a source for real eggs with tasty dark yolks, this should good if the bourbon makes it through the night.

You can dry the bread in the oven on a cookie sheet to speed things up a bit. Just be careful not to drink too much bourbon first, though, or you'll wind up with charcoal.

It turned out really good, but a 9x13 pan is way too much for a single guy. Several neighbors enjoyed it. I really should start cooking smaller portions.
