Wow……Such Rudeness

Went to the big city for a VA appointment & on the way home stopped in at a small Colorado BBQ chain joint that’s not bad

Was a Hispanic couple with 5 kids in front of us, 4 mondelo beers and water for kids…..he went outside & came back with a 2 liter bottle of Dr Pepper 

Kids were running around out of control screaming and yelling & one came up to our table (5-6 years old) and tried taking some pickles 

So I nicely ask if they could please control the kids so he would not try taking my food

Guy jumped up, said I was disrespecting them and called me several names in Spanish while bouncing back and forth between English and Spanish 

Without thinking I told him it was a good day to die…..and if he felt froggy to jump

His body language was not good & he was jumping around cussing me out 

Just then the 2 cops who were standing outside talking came in & he sort of settled down & one cop said something to him in Spanish & the guy flicked me the bird and ent back to eating 

I looked at the cops & the one said “you retired from the job” with a smile so we talked and he was prior service Marine 

They were watching from outside & my body language & hand in my pocket clued them in so that’s when they came in…and they knew I was armed……

I need to not antagonize people……

Seems Hispanics in Colorado are more aggressive and hot tempered as they get away with so much due to the politics in the area. Never ran across this in Texas or anywhere else in our travels 

Was an interesting day…..

Forget to add, I asked the cop what he said in Spanish & with a sly smile he said “don’t fuck with old men, they will kill you without a second thought “

I was like 😳😳😳😳 seriously & he laughed and said well your hand was on a pistol

Was a good learning experience for me….now to implement what I learned

I used to train LA city cops in my classes and they would tell me stories of how best to handle the Hispanic males when in front of a family member. They would always separate the male party out and do their business in private. Usually it was a good beat down.

They handled other races differently and beat them in front of their wives 😆

From what I experienced today that makes a lot of sense, seems the Hispanic male ego is very delicate and sensitive, especially in front of women and kids

I've always said, don't fuck with the old man. You don't know what HE knows or what he used to be. Besides, he probably has less to lose than you do.

I’ve never actually given it much thought & really feel like a worthless broke dick crippled old man the last couple years 

But I do believe you are incredibly correct in this after today’s experience

Both vehicles have a can of Sabre Defense crossfire MX4 (stream) in each door pocket and we both carry POM OC about 95% of the time we leave the house 

I consider the J frame always in my pocket a last ditch screw it in your ear & empty the cylinder kind of defense weapon
