You're having a bad day?

Yes, I have been stung by many scorpions; WAY TOO many! One night many years ago I felt my wife sit up in bed in the middle of the night. The bedroom was totally dark, not even a nightlight. She shook me and said, "There's something on the ceiling. I heard it crawling." That got my attention, so I turned on a bedside lamp and looked up. Sure enough, there was a scorpion crawling on the ceiling directly over the bed. She watched it while I went to get a chair and a fly swatter. I knocked it down and nearly lost it on our brown carpet, but I finally managed to smash it. I still don't know how she was awakened by the sound of a scorpion on the ceiling.

Just a few years ago I was putting on my jeans which had been hanging in the closet. Suddenly I got zapped three times on the inside of my left thigh. That's the fastest I ever shucked a pair of jeans! I shook them, expecting a wasp to fall out, but it was a scorpion. They're very hard to kill on carpet, but I stomped him until he quit moving, then a couple more for good measure. I hate the darn things!
