air show explosions

There were two loud explosions about an hour apart today, followed by black mushroom clouds on the base today.Β  I haven't been able to raise anybody on 2 meters that were there to witness them.Β  It doesn't look good.

Depending on who was doing the flying acts they will hire a professional pyrotechnic contractor or have one that travels with them & Β simulate some kind of air to ground attack with huge fireballs and explosions

I'm very glad to hear that none of the pilots or spectators were harmed.

About 1/2 hour before the end they did a triple explosion. I bet that would've looked really cool if we didn't have 35 mph winds today. The fighters going directly overhead were really LOUD! I got to see some A-10s going over close. Th jets refueling was pretty neat. I've never seen that up close before. All in all, it was cool!

I miss air shows, the AF base here does not have a runway and only a few helicopters assigned to the base & thus don’t have a air show 😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞😞

I might have to go to the "Thunder Over Michigan" show @ Willow Run Airport July 20-21.
I've got a hook in the Yankee Air Museum that could pave the way to see some behind-the -scenes accessible stuff.
