Just keep in mind though the term "pre-diabetes" is often tossed around with which I have no issue, It has no basis in fact. With no health issues whatsoever, we are all "pre-diabetic" until we get diabetes.

Technically that's true. However, by that same logic, you can also say that, with no health issues whatsoever, we are all pre- dead but that has no medical meaning or use.

In keeping with the "In the hospital again" and diabetes, my wife accidentally overdosed herself on insulin last night, so we spent 3 hours in the ER. Got to bed around 0200. Doc says probably not a huge deal, just monitor blood glucose frequently for the next couple of days. Her insulin is the long-acting glargine stuff that comes in a pen.

Please, show me your science that proves Pre-diabetes is not a legitimate medical term used doctors to describe a specific level of fasting blood glucose. I'll wait.
