So, mereck garland appointed the guy who engineered the sweetheart deal for hunter as special council. How convenient! He was scheduled to testify to congress about this matter. Now all he has to do is say "That is part of an active investigation and I can't comment."

Not only that but, under the special counsel law, it's illegal to appoint him. A special counsel has to be someone who doesn't work for the government.
