A colleague of mine has a great little dog. Blue's circle of friends increases every day, as far as he knows all people are his friends.
A couple of years ago Blue disappeared while Leland was making a delivery in Portland. Leland tried as long as he could to find Blue but the haul he had was very time sensitive. He called me up in tears and I went to work. After several calls to dog pound type places in Portland I finally got a hit. I couldn't accurately describe his coloration (he was just Blue, funny how you never think about markings) I described him as 10-20lbs and the world's happiest dog. That was all the description I needed. The local dog pound instantly recognized him as a dog someone had found. I was able to re-unite him with Leland that day. Until then. I was as heartbroken as Leland was. They were together the next day when another colleague in the area picked him up and brought him to Seattle.
Blue is getting a little long in the tooth and it'll be a sad day when it comes. He truly is the world's happiest dog, a real joy to be around! He makes everyone feel loved. You should've seen him when I cooked a little extra liver for him.
