the zelenski press conference today7

On the talk shows I heard clips and I thought zelenski had it coming to him. I got a call from my best friend who is a hardcore conservative and big fan of Trump and Vance that had a different take on it. He urged me to watch the whole thing on YouTube so I did.
My take is that Trump and Vance should've ironed out their differences in private, not in public. They humiliated zelenski in public which should never happen. I do believe this will seal the complete annihilation of Ukraine. I can imagine Russia, China, and the Norks salivating over this. Not that we need to provide more munitions, I think if American companies were mining there and we had some troops there it would serve as a strong tripwire.
Not President Trump's finest hour!

Watch it again, Zelensky was the aggressor & he was way out of line

Zelensky went into this meeting planning on doing it….he has humiliated Biden and pressured him into getting everything he wanted

Trump stopped him and spanked him like you do a spoiled rotten rich kid

Vance spoke up proving he is not a wallflower but an active participant in the American government proving he has what it takes to be president

Trump was presidential and refused to allow Zelensky to talk over him

Zelensky was in a black costume instead of a green one….zero respect for the American people by looking like a pretend general

Did you see the reporter asking him about not wearing a suit

Europe was shocked, now they are responsible for peace and not dumping it on America

Trump left the door open for further negotiations at a later date

Zelensky then apologized profusely on Fox with Brett bear

Saw another interview with the security of the treasurers and he backfilled how this was the 3rd attempt at signing the agreement & both the first and the second time Zelensky pulled something like that and got nowhere so he tried again not understanding Trump and Vance

America needed to see the arrogant and pompous Zelensky trying to talk over the president and intimidate Vance

I bet anything that’s exactly how he treated Biden, Harris and his administration

After the cameras were gone Zelensky saw the lunch Trump had ordered & he tried staying for lunch so Trump kicked him out of the White House

Look at the video of the Ukraine ambassador, she almost started crying Zelensky behavior was so disgusting

Oh and it was a private lunches Zelensky could have brought his concerns up in private instead of on camera

You do know Zelensky was an actor……

I disagree. Zelensky made it known early on in the conversation he wouldn't compromise with putin. So, how is there going to be any good faith effort to negotiate? He was all about security garuntees being needed up front. He made a big deal that we needed to send them our best air defense systems. We don't even give our allies our best air defenses in most cases. And make no mistake, Ukraine is not an ally to the US. During the war in Afghanistan Ukraine allowed US cargo flights only to transit their air space and land at some airfields. Their military contribution in Afghanistan was mostly medical personnel, which coincidentally was what Russia contributed. They also had a small combat force which were given the mission to guard a specific village and at the earliest sign of attack, they abandoned the village to the Taliban.

I have been hearing from the leftist I know that Ukraine is a large trading partner with the US and they supply us with a lot of steel. Reality is a bit different. The total trade between the US and Ukraine is $3 billion. They send us $2 billion and take $1 in our exports. Interesting fact, the #1 thing they import from us is iron. That is the exact opposite of what the left is telling everyone who will listen and not bother to research it themselves. When you ask them to cite their source of information it is always a leftist "news" site. At that rate of trade we will never get back the $350 billion biden gave them. And why did he give them that money to start with? Because Zelensky had the dirt on the biden crime family, I think that would be a fantastic starting point to the negotiations. You give us the dirt and we will see about any other deals being made. Other countries are making bank on our support of Ukraine. Trump needs to tell NATO that if they get involved in Ukraine with anything other than peace keeping forces, agreed to in a cease fire deal, when Russia kicks them in the teeth they are on their own as they started the conflict.

What happened today was about the free money spigot being shut off and the US getting some of our money back from Ukraine. Zelensky just wants the money to continue to pour into a war that he cannot win and can only devolve into a wider conflict with worldwide implications. Zelensky even said he wanted the money to continue flowing even if a peace deal was reached. If there is peace then they shouldn't need the money. We've a;ready given them $10,500 for every man, woman and child in the country. The US has bigger problems than saving a hopelessly corrupt country from being overtaken by another hopelessly corrupt country that has nuclear weapons.

Zelensky said he would resign if Ukraine got NATO membership or nuclear weapons. Neither of those things should ever happen. First because Ukraine isn't and never has been an ally and second because giving that petulant child nukes would just mean they would be used at some point.

Zelensky said he would sign the metals agreement and then decided that wasn't a good enough deal, he had to have "security garuntees" and more money from the US or for Russia to pay to rebuild his country. He overplayed his hand and his bluff was called. In fact he has no hand. It has been a month, his weapons stockpiles have to be getting low, at some point he will see the futility of the situation and call Trump and beg for a deal, knowing that a Spring offensive is coming and he won't have anything to stop it.

I want him to hand over everything he has on biden, obama, clinton and any other American politician he has dirt on. That would be the start of the negotiations, otherwise he can wind up in a shallow grave when his country falls.

Oh, and I wonder how much USAID money went into overthrowing the Russia friendly Ukrainian President back in 2014. You can be sure it was a lot.

I went back and looked for the video I watched but didn't find it. It was from a TV station, wmor I think. It was described as full video of the meeting but was only 11 minutes long. In searching this time I learned the whole meeting was about 49 minutes. It appears I fell for some very biased reporting. If it is as you guys report, that Zelensky started this crap in front of the cameras, it changes my opinion 180°.
We all know about the rampant corruption on both sides over there and it pains me to see our money enriching individuals as well as some of our munitions ending up in Johnny Jihadi's hands but I viewed Ukraine as being the enemy of my enemy.
I'll watch the 49 minute version and probably do a reversal. One tip off should've been J.D.Vance tearing into him. He's usually forceful but in a more subdued way.

I watched the full 50 minute meeting and Zelenskyy defiantely tried to renegotiate the terms of the path to peace and that should not happen in a highly public meeting as it did! Trump was correct when he said the American people needed to see how Zelenskyy was trying to rule out a cease fire and vowed to keep war hawking instead...until Putin gives in with NO concessions! If Zenlenskyy truly wants to stop the war and save lives, he needs to follow the plan! Cease fire, negotiations, compromises (on both sides) and finally a true path to peace in his country!

If I were Trump, I would have told Zelenskyy that he needs us more than we need his little piss ant country...Russia cold blow them off the face of the map and America wouldn't really give 2 shits, LOL!

I think Trump and Vance did a good job and showed us that this administration has a backbone unlike the previous bunch!

Maybe he should sell some of is millions of dollars in real estate to buy back some of the weapons he sold on the black market.

Most likely Soros was in bed with us, but iirc, Zelensky came to power during the obummer administration during our color revolution (Victoria nuland, etc.).
Anyway, I watched the whole fiasco as posted by Fox5  New York and I can see things a little better now. It looks like the munitions aren't going to keep flowing in and Ukraine is toast. I would've preferred Zelensky accepting the deal as I see our mining of the rare earth minerals to be beneficial to both our countries. (Did Trump say raw earth, lol)  If we had American companies mining there I'd think Russia would be hesitant to continue the war. Win win.
On a side bar, was Zelensky trying to make some kind of statement by not wearing a suit and tie? That looked strange.
