Parade

Today I made the trip to my hometown for our annual fair and fair parade. The fair is 105 years old this year and I drove the 105 year old tractor in my Avatar through the parade. I did a preservation rebuild on that tractor three years ago and this is the second time I ran it in the parade.
The parade route is 8 blocks long and the tractor only does 2.9 MPH in high gear. Ends up being just about perfect as the floats ahead of me were going faster but we all had to stop at three announcer stands and I could catch up when everyone stopped. Only down side was I was herding this thing down the road with only three short breaks.

Anyway, it ran great for three hours, restarted to be loaded back up on the trailer, and made it back into its barn at the museum with zero issues. My arms are sore from steering it and I pulled my hamstring a tad more the last time I spun the engine over to get it on the trailer. All in all a good day....I have not had many here lately so it was welcome.

My hands were a little too messy to grab my phone, but I have two pork shoulders wrapped and on stage two. When they reach 200°, they’re done and ready to rest then be shredded.

New Subscription Module Added to the Forum!

Forum News    13 Replies

Hi guys!  I finished adding a new subscription module to the forums!  The original one was not working properly!  This one should be much better...it accepts Paypal but you can PM me for an address if you prefer to snail mail a check!  Subscriptions are completely optional and only give you some extra "Perks" such as more PM storage and extra image upload space.  You also get access to a VIP Lounge forum and a fancy group badge for your post profiles!  The main forum features will always be free to everyone!

All donations made go directly to the server cost and domain fees.  We save expense by running the top open source forum software but the server fees are very costly in order to maintain 99.9999 % uptime as well as remote backups, current hardware and software plus 24/7 customer support from the data center!

I appreciate all donations...every little bit helps to lessen the out of pocket costs and ensures that we can continue having a top notch site to hang out at!  Here is the Subscription Page link if you would like to browse the selection of subscription packages!

Thanks again!

Missing Posts

Sorry guys!  I was working on the Donation system in an FTP program and accidentally wiped out a few recent posts!  It was completely my fault and not anything to do with the forum software!  I simply clicked the wrong button!  Luckily, I have our server set to automatically load remote backups every morning so I just had to revert back to this morning's backup file and in the process, we lost a few recent posts!

If you notice anything that you may have posted this afternoon missing, please do a repost if you wish!  It looks like it was only several posts that are gone.
