I'm not sure if it's pure borax. I do know it will kill ants when moistened with sugar water. It is very pure. They do refine it after mining to remove rocks and things and then it is processed to separate it from the salt that is also present. If you read up on it when you drink it it reacts with the hydrochloric acid in your stomach which turns it into, sodium chloride, water and elemental boron. Sea salt actually has borax in it because it is water soluble but there is far less of it than sodium chloride. And it kind of makes sense that a person's body would need it just like you need salt as life sprung forth from the ocean. There has been all sorts of research on it and it has shown to benefit bone and teeth health. It also helps prevent calcification of soft tissues. It is a lot of sciency stuff but it makes sense. I'll look into the Borax. I have been taking this and it has helped with the arthritis in my thumb joints: Both of you kind of pointed out a disconcerting fact. 1 in 7 adults in the US suffers from arthritis. That fact alone makes the treatment of the symptoms a half trillion dollar a year industry. That is a half trillion reasons every year not to actually cure the illness, especially if the illness could be treated effectively for literally pennies a day. A 4 pound box of borax is $6 at Walmart. It contains about 1000 daily doses which would last about 3 years. That works out to less than a penny a day and in my case at least, it works. Can you imagine the monetary loss to those companies that "treat" arthritis if more people did use this treatment? When looked at that way, it makes a lot of sense why when the doctor in Australia approached a pharma company they went to the parliament and got borax declared to be "poison" and removed it from anything used for human consumption. If they know what is causing the illness and withhold that information in order to profit, they are the second lowest form of human scum that exists. The first lowest being those politicians who made it happen. I am not a doctor, and I don't know it all, but if my livelihood depended on something continuing to exist, I would do all in my power to make sure it kept existing. RE: I found something that helps my arthritic thumb - Longhair - 05-15-2024 Makes me wonder if Boric Acid would produce the same effect. It affects over 32 million people in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) With OA, cartilage in your joints breaks down, eventually causing your bones to rub together and your joints to be inflamed, which leads to pain, bone injury, and even bone spur formation. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a type of autoimmune disease in which your body attacks healthy joint tissue. Common symptoms of RA include morning stiffness and joint pain, typically in the same joint on both sides of your body. Joint deformities can eventually develop. I have the first one. Terry |
