RE: What's for supper! - Rampy - 02-18-2025 Had mushroom chicken thighs & wild rice, was dry & chicken was stringy Was a meh…..disappointed it was so dry RE: What's for supper! - srjdsmith - 02-19-2025 I teach on Tuesdays, so dinner has to be quick. I had some venison brats with Mac & cheese. RE: What's for supper! - Rampy - 02-19-2025 Had Green Goddess chicken, was not bad but as normal the chicken was dry, been putting chili sauce (tame version of siracha) and that helped Wife had Baja salmon & it was ok, bland salmon & spicy veggies They are way cheaper than eating out but still remind us of an upscale TV dinner RE: What's for supper! - specops56 - 02-20-2025 (02-19-2025, 10:34 PM)Rampy Wrote: Had Green Goddess chicken, was not bad but as normal the chicken was dry, been putting chili sauce (tame version of siracha) and that helped I didn't get to eat lunch before my noon dermatology appointment yesterday so i cheated for supper and had a 5 Guys cheese burger and fries for supper. I'll do extra low carb today to make up for it. Something I discovered about these Factor meals that helps keep them from getting too dry. Their cooking times are calculated for a 1000 watt microwave. Mine is 1500 watts. I started nuking them for no more than 2 - 2.5 minutes no matter the directions and they come out better. The chicken still comes out a bit dry but not as bad as before. Terry RE: What's for supper! - specops56 - 02-24-2025 Tonight’s Factor meal: Black Pepper & Sage Pork Chop with Smoked Cheddar Brussels Sprouts & Creamy Broccoli. ![]() The pork was a good size chunk. It was too lean without a hint of fat. Surprisingly it was not as dry as I expected it to be. I think I’ll put some bacon fat on it next time before i heat it up. I didn’t taste any sage or black pepper which was okay by me. Hot sauce tastes better, They were very stingy on the Brussels sprouts and broccoli but what was there was good. I always add some butter on the broccoli. I marked this one a MAYBE. Terry RE: What's for supper! - specops56 - 02-25-2025 Buffalo chicken salad from Zaxbys with sugar free thousand island dressing.
