They already did. Protesters were on the street awaiting the verdict so there'd be no delay for travel time.

Apparently, NYC has had enough of BLM and were arresting "agitators" at the courthouse. Been dark for 5 hours and still no reports of looting.
Personally, I think the NYPD should have let the looting start and make an example of the first ones to try to loot. Being splattered with you co-looter's brain really makes the 5 finger discount seem like not such a great deal.
