strange occurrences lately, family members. - tommag - 01-14-2025 I'm not a blood is thicker than water guy and I've estranged myself from several family members (not my kids) several years ago that I didn't consider trustworthy. Yesterday and today I've received several phone calls from them trying to re-establish contact. I no longer have reason to fear them as I no longer have disposable income and they know that. I'm not sure what's going on but I know the Bible has things to say about family. Maybe I need to read a bit and figure it out. If anyone here can point me to biblical passages relating to that I'd appreciate it. The most relevant to my situation seems to be from Mathew 18 about forgiving your brother 77 times. You are fortunate to still have family. All I have left is my wife and BIL. I don't want to go to my grave holding grudges. Perhaps your family is trying to make some tentative moves at asking for your forgiveness. Terry RE: strange occurrences lately, family members. - MontanaLon - 01-15-2025 I don't look at it like holding a grudge against those who I have cut out of my life, they are just strangers to me and get no more from me than any other random person. I'll be civil but I won't allow them back into my life ever. |
