Rivian EV - Rampy - 05-04-2024 The hotel is all of 2 years old & one of those fancy Rivian SUV’s pulled up n ahead of us to check in Assholes they were, hotel does not have any EV charging stations & they were going off on the poor girl about not being able to charge….. I’m like “sure don’t see any free gas pumps here either & im not whining and crying about not getting free gasoline” Ohhh the evil looks but the couple shut up and stormed off while the employee was struggling to keep from laughing Why are EV owners such prick bastards RE: Rivian EV - olfart - 05-04-2024 (05-04-2024, 09:34 AM)Rampy Wrote: The hotel is all of 2 years old & one of those fancy Rivian SUV’s pulled up n ahead of us to check in Because they feel morally superior to those who still drive the environment-destroying gas powered vehicles, and they're entitled to free electricity because they are morally superior. " That along with "Do you really need expect me to wait 45 minutes at a public charging station?" RE: Rivian EV - MontanaLon - 05-04-2024 It is the elitism of the "better than you crowd". Rivian is dying on the vine and without a steady input of tax dollars would be dead already. They just made news that they are going to be building their small electric SUV in Illinois and people are all happy about 500 more jobs in the state. The thing is they had planned to build a new factory in Georgia specifically to make the small SUV and they had to walk away from that because they just don't have the money to do it. Oh and Illinois gave them a billion dollars in tax credits to hire 500 workers after they just laid off 10% of their workforce a month ago. Apparently no one has done the math on the tax break deal because the state is paying roughly $2 million per worker in taxes Rivian won't have to pay. That isn't how you build an economy, that is how politicians line their own pockets by screwing the tax payers. |
