Craving this and thought I'd try this recipe. I added some finely cut carrot sticks and didn't use any dark soy sauce.  Anyway, all the prep is done but I don't want to eat this early.
I'll update in an hour or two after I get it ready.
I always wondered what kind of meat the Chinese restaurants used since it is incredibly tender. Turns out a touch of baking soda tenderizes the meat.

Sure looks way better than the hamburger helper I’m having tonight 🤣🤣

The flavor was good but it could've used twice as much broccoli and more sauce. Had I put it on rice the amount of sauce would've been maybe enough for my tastes. I also substituted round steak for flank and sake for the Chinese rice wine he recommended. I didn't measure the wine but my splash was probably closer to three tablespoons.
I'm kind of funny about vegetables, when I crave any veggie I want that veggie and only consider meat a flavoring. You ought to see me at a buffet. Plate full of mashed potatoes and string beans covered with gravy. No roast beef required!
