Mike Venturino has passed on

I just read about his passing on. He was, in my opinion, one of the best gun writers in today's world.

Yeah, that's the problem. They're getting up there in age like the rest of us.
I remember his occasional stories about his friend shrapnel who I assumed was a fictional character. Eventually he got shrapnel to join the forum cast boolits and I realized shrapnel was a real guy. He got the nickname for blowing up a few old revolvers.
Anyway, Mike didn't do puff pieces about the latest releases from Smith and Wesson/Ruger, etc. like Ross Seyfried, he wrote about older guns. The last I remember he was into WW2 machine guns/sub machine guns.
