sour cream

I believe it was George Carlin that asked "If sour cream goes bad, how do you know?".
Anyway, I scrubbed a potato and cut up a green onion.  I took my container of sour cream out of the fridge and tasted it.  It tasted normal but the use by date was the end of April, so I tossed it in the garbage.  I guess I'll just have butter on it tonight. If I die tonight I'll let you know about it.

I’ve eaten way outdated sour cream & lived I think….all we got growing up was expired sour cream and cottage cheese that was returned to the dairy as out of date….

To me, if I sniff it and go ick….it gets tossed 🤣🤣🤣😱

I wish I could.  I lost my sense of smell in 99 and my taste is much diminished.
