secret service confirmed a 22 cal lr, ruger with a scope was used, distance was confirmed at 400ft. shooter was an amateur 20yr old male, missed 5 shots into crowd, 1 shot hit trump in the upper ear.

Can you point me to that SS statement? I have a friend already crowing about how it was an AR15.

It was reported as an AR15 platform .22 LR.

Where? Nothing on TV about that and google only comes up with "AR style rifle." Where is the SS statement that specifically says 22LR? That's what I want to shove in my friend's face.

NY Post says shooter purchased 50 rounds shortly before the rally. Only rifle round I know that's sold in 50 round boxes is .22LR.

The sound was fairly quiet, but with only 8 or 9 shots there was 1 doa, 2 critical with one of those in a coma sounds like a heck of a lot of damage for a 22.

Someone here at work said they heard it was a 9 mm. That would also make sense for 50 round boxes.

That kid with a 22 seems like a very improbable .gov recruit but this video with the clock running makes my tinfoil hat seem more  reasonable.

The only thing we can be 100% certain of it that it was NOT an actual AR15.

Now I'm reading that police saw him using a rangefinder 30 minutes before the shooting and reporting it. Nah, nothing suspicious about that. There are many other uses for a rangefinder like.....uh....well, there must be....
