To whom would I contribute? I hate the idea of paying my second worst enemy to try and defeat my worst enemy.
My uncle ran for office in his county. He might’ve won, as he was a prominent ag. banker and many of area farmers owed their survival to him (he was president of the last solvent PCA in Kansas in the 80’s and retired as V.P. of a very successful ag bank). In so doing, he got a look at the “seamy underside” of the Republican Party. He told my dad, “I have to figure out how to lose! I can’t owe these people! I feel like I’ve jumped into a cesspool.”
