We just got Flash back home from the vet. The fluid they drew out of his lungs is white lymphatic fluid. That’s going out to the lab tomorrow to see if there is any sign of cancer. If they can rule that out as the cause he will get an ECG to see if it might be heart disease. If that is ruled out, then they can see what treatment options are possible. I’ll keep you posted.
As if that wasn’t enough, we have an internal medicine consult tomorrow for one of our other cats, Pumpkinhead.
She’s 14 months old and weighs 4.8 pounds. She’s literally skin and bones and she’s been that way from the start. She looks and acts like she’s starving even though she eats at least as much as all the others. It’s not worms or anything like that. She’s had blood tests but no answer yet. We’re hoping the specialist will be able to figure it out. She has as much energy and is as active a the other cats which makes it even more puzzling. I’ll update y’all on her as well.
