We had a delightful 58 degrees at 0600 with partly cloudy skies after a 0.7" rainfall last night.
We spent about 3 hours traveling each way to a hamfest at Queen Wilhelmina State Park in Arkansas atop Rich Mountain. The temp on top of the mountain at noon was 66 with about 15 - 20 mph wind gusts, which played havoc with the tents and some of the contents. Anything that wasn't nailed down should have been. Saw lots of old gear and lots of old people, ourselves included, but the only thing I bought was an ARRL Handbook from 1984. Couldn't turn it down at $5.
Then back down the mountain for our annual visit to "The Chopping Block" steakhouse for lunch, which was worth the trip.
