When we reach a certain age, these thoughts creep into out consciousness, I didn't have that many heirlooms, mainly a very old Seth Thomas mantel clock that belonged to my grandfather. I gave it to a male cousin who carries the family name. A 22 rifle that my wife's uncle gave her 50 years ago has been refinished and is awaiting a visit from her brother, who will pass it to his kids.
