I had a 222 barrel for a TC Contender- kind of useless. (Also had a .44mag/.410 barrel and the .44 shot the gun to pieces, literally). I never found much use for the 222, as we had rifles that we used for whistle pigs (mostly in Pennsylvania) and if I used a pistol, it was close range with a Ruger Super Single Six.
You say 222 is the most popular. What ever happened to 22-250? It seemed to be the one most people around here (Iowa) talked about, maybe 25 years ago. Now I don’t hear much about it.
