Good morning!

We got more than 8" of rain last night, and our electricity has been off for 12 hours. I just started the generator. It may be a while before commercial power is restored.

Oh, and there's likely another few inches of rain expected today, which will slow down the repair crews even more.

Wow. I don’t have a generator- married 40 years and homeowner for 30 and never needed one. I’ve assigned myself to get one this summer.

I bought an indoor rated propane heater this year and I’ve used it in the garage. I think I’ll pick up another. The advice I got seemed good- you can’t heat your house on a generator if the furnace or electricity goes out in the winter.

But I don’t have a generator yet.
