I'm freezing!

As long as I have power I use the electric space heaters. Wehn the power goes out I'll break out the propane heaters and cooking stove. I just crack open the fireplace flue for ventilation.

A fireplace? Have you considered watching for a good used fireplace insert? They dramatically increase the efficiency of a traditional fireplace.

Maybe in the future. Right now I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to pay for a new hvac system.
