Our member "The shooter's apprentice" has quite an internet presence under that name as an outdoor writer. I don't know where he's been published but I've done a little proof reading for him. I do know he has a YouTube channel under that name. He writes when he has the time and does honest gun reviews, mostly about personally owned firearms as well as guns manufacturer's have sent him for reviews. Maybe he'll chime in here with some links. If you put his name in a search engine you'll probably find his works that way.

He's not like a lot of gun writers, a box of cartridges and declare it good. More like 1,000 rounds. He shoots a lot.

I haven’t done any writing lately, but want to try to do a bit more this winter. Lately I’ve been posting stuff on Patreon (free to read) and when I have time I do my podcast.

I also have had some published by Gunblast.com but you will be looking for my real name which is Daniel Congiolosi

Here is a article I just finished up this morning. Wanted to take some more photos to go with the article, but its -23 out this morning so I'm not going outside unless I have to.

Well-written and very informative. I like your writing style. Your style in noisemakers ain't bad, either.

Good article, my questions are, how much does it weigh (did I miss this) and how’s the velocity?

The mag part was really good

Is the slide able to be milled for a Holosun red dot??

Good questions. My initial answer was going be be it weighs as much as a 1911 commander but I forget sometimes that not everyone is familiar with the platform, which is why i forget to put that kind of info in the articles. Weight unloaded is 2lb 2.4oz

As far as velocity I actually did some extensive testing awhile back with this gun along with a 5" and 6" barreled gun. Those findings can be found here

And for your final question, yes it can be but I believe the common method is to mill the slide to take adaptor plates kind of like the Glock MOS. Tisas offers a few factory options that are already milled for a optic from the factory.
