interesting scam

This is a new (to me) scam. I got 3 texts tonight from the same number about a pre-check in being cancelled. Since I have an appointment tomorrow my initial reaction was that it pertained to that.  I don't know what the hook is, but I'm sure responding would be a bad deal.

Just think of what they could do if they put all that effort and ingenuity into something legal and/or productive.

That would require actual work and give a shat. Scamming is easier and more profitable.

.....and the risk of losing their freedom.

That's one thing that always kept me from taking the wrong path. The cost of freedom for years is worth more than a few thousand dollars that I could easily make honestly in that period or less. In other words, the BS to PR (BullSh*t to Pay Ratio) isn't worth it.
