I have no idea if additional forum categories would cost more, but if not, we have at least one member who is bothered by news story stuff. How about a news story sub category so anybodythat doesn't like such posts could easily bypass it?
At every corner there are frequently poor folks with signs asking for help. "Anything helps" is commonly seen. Today in the center divider were 2 grocery store packages, 1 fried chicken and 1 of a deli pasta salad, both untouched.
I used to help folks out, but anymore I can't tell the difference between someone in need and someone in need of drugs. Damned shame as I don't help any of them out anymore.
Got a call from a colleague last week. He said both my doors on my 98 chevy pickup were ajar. He closed and locked them.
Got back Wednesday night and couldn't get my door key in farther than 1/4". Unlocked the passenger door and they tore up my ignition lock. Not much left to steal, but they thoroughly tossed all the contents for something to steal. Two bags of charcoal and spices exposed to the rain. Maybe a 3/4" socket set stolen, I'll check it in the morning.
What a mess! At best, I'll lose a day replacing locks Thursday instead of working on my freightliner.
The good thing is.... I didn't catch him in the act. Even if cleared, the cost of defending myself would be far higher than the value of my pickup.
I immensely dislike thieves!
