Already in the 80s @ 08:00 here! The feel like temp is supposed to be around the 110+- range!!

Hood Morning AlphaRomeo!
62° this morning, supposed to hit 83° here today. Sun is out and it's heating up fast.

Fawns are hitting the ground all over the place now, and I'm watching a hen turkey in my front yard as I type this.
Not sure what all I'll do today. I've got to go grocery shopping, and I may give the dumpster company a call because I want that thing out of my driveway. It's already been here for 2½ weeks for a one-day job!

Great news!!! The lab results are back on Flash and it’s negative for FIP! I can’t express how happy and relieved I am!

We’ve taken him to the vet so they can do a tap to draw out the fluid in his lungs. They will send a sample to the lab to determine what it is. I’ll update when we have some answers.

I thank you for your prayers and Flash thanks you!

Doc spent 45 min cleaning & inspecting the wound, she puts small bandage on it with some kind of wound creme and a silver pad covered with tape so I can wear a shoe

She said to not walk much, or as little as possible & gave us 45 days worth of wound care supplies & said if it gets infected go to the ER for antibiotics. Need to see where the VA hospitals are around gatlinburg, Charlottesville and Lexington

So progress is slow but happening

I blew a hole in the bottom of my foot (being stupid with epsom salts)..took a couple of months, but it healed..never saw a doc, ‘cause I’m stupid in a lot of ways, but I changed the bandage daily and used up a lot of Betadine..
Note: I’m Type 2 diabetic also..

Me too. Mine is a side effect of my transplant meds.

We just got Flash back home from the vet. The fluid they drew out of his lungs is white lymphatic fluid. That’s going out to the lab tomorrow to see if there is any sign of cancer. If they can rule that out as the cause he will get an ECG to see if it might be heart disease. If that is ruled out, then they can see what treatment options are possible. I’ll keep you posted.

As if that wasn’t enough, we have an internal medicine consult tomorrow for one of our other cats, Pumpkinhead.

She’s 14 months old and weighs 4.8 pounds. She’s literally skin and bones and she’s been that way from the start. She looks and acts like she’s starving even though she eats at least as much as all the others. It’s not worms or anything like that. She’s had blood tests but no answer yet. We’re hoping the specialist will be able to figure it out. She has as much energy and is as active a the other cats which makes it even more puzzling. I’ll update y’all on her as well.

Nobody can tell me why I’m type 2, came out of my 3rd back surgery & wham the hospital labeled me diabetic even before I woke up but all the pre surgery bloodwork was normal

I had neuropathy years before I became a diabetic & suddenly the neuropathy was due to being a diabetic according to the VA

Personally I think it’s got lots to do with being exposed to dioxins on Okinawa as the government insists Agent Orange was not on Okinawa in the 80’s
