It’s only 84° and supposed to reach not quite 100° today.I agree with your opinion of Las Vegas. It's disgusting in my opinion. I haven't been in a casino for 40 years. All that opulence wasn't paid for by the casino, it was paid for with the client's money. They're not there for us to make money in. How many people have been destroyed by chasing that big score straight into the dumpster? Nah, I don't have a strong opinion! At one time the casinos had great food dirt cheap, buffets that were really good and cheap… Thats gone…casino restaurants are good to real good but also expensive We stopped into Harrah’s in council bluffs IA to go potty & eat at Guy Fieri’s restaurant & never even hit the gambling floors or saw any gambling 🤷♂️ Food was really good, service was excellent and it was not stupid expensive RE: good morning! - specops56 - 07-16-2024 It's 81 degrees and 81% humidity at my house. Gonna try to get it fixed rather than replaced. I doubt a new one would last 3 years. The matching dryer is still going strong. Terry RE: good morning! - specops56 - 07-18-2024 75 at my house. Might rain today. Hope so. Terry RE: good morning! - olfart - 07-18-2024 70 and cloudy with a 70% chance of rain today/tonight, and a high of 82. We have ANOTHER July cold snap! Today is cheese day since I'm now milking 3 goats and running out of places to put milk. RE: good morning! - Longhair - 07-18-2024 Good Afternoon AlphaRomeo! A delightful sunny 70° day here today, with humidity below 50% for the first time in a long time. Starting work on my main paddock fence today. It's a big job and it's going to take a while to replace all the posts. I'm hoping to get my hydraulic post driver back out of the shop within the next day or so, and that will make it go a lot faster and easier. Up on the hill it's better to drill the post holes, but in the low areas the driver is the only way to go. As wet as it's been, drilling holes in the low ground is pointless because they will fill with water before you can get a post in the hole, and you can never tamp them tight. RE: good morning! - tommag - 07-18-2024 Good afternoon. My 30 year old gas grill died and I planned on rebuilding it. Located the needed parts on Amazon and put them in the cart. Then I took a look at the underside to make sure.... Nope, not a normal fitting anywhere. Empty the cart and go to Wally world to buy a 2 burner tabletop grill. Cleaned it up and tested it. With one burner on low I got 225°, perfect! Then the wind went from 10-15 mph to calm. It shot up to 400°. I'll have to keep an eye on it for ribs and chuck. Made another batch of coleslaw with the dressing I'm currently enamored with. Dry rub on a slab of spare ribs slowly cooking on the cold side of the grill. Cut a few yellow potatoes to an appropriate size, then tossed them with olive oil and herbs. I've baked spuds before but never grilled them. Sounds good, we'll see. Well, time to watch the RNC. See you later. Edit: haven't seen a single yellow jacket this year, normally they're thick here. I just went out to check the temperature and there was a yellow jacket scoping out the grill. I think he likes my cooking. RE: good morning! - Rampy - 07-19-2024 (07-18-2024, 08:02 PM)tommag Wrote: Good afternoon. My 30 year old gas grill died and I planned on rebuilding it. I especially liked Steve and Zak Witkoff's talking about their long term friendships with President Trump. I was amazed to learn his oldest granddaughter is only 17. She looked way too elegant for a teenager. |
