Did FPC take down the Illinois ban on AR’s? (Sorry, I can’t properly research it right now, so I’m asking.)

Yes, it was ruled unconstitutional and a permanent injunction of enforcement was entered with a stay of 30 days. It will be appealed though but it looks like SCOTUS is ready to take on a case and this would be a good one to take on.

It isn't all rainbows and sunshine, .50BMG rifles and ammo apparently aren't "Arms" protected by the 2A and neither are belt fed weapons.

Yeah, I can see that. Bruen covers arms in common use. The ammo thing doesn't make sense, though. Maybe we just have the right to keep and bear paperweights?
