Ham and Lima beans help. please. - tommag - 05-18-2024 After looking at recipes for crockpot Lima beans I'm not seeing any that use celery. My mind tells me I should use a stalk or two of celery as well as some grated carrot. Am I trying to screw a pot of ham and Lima beans up? RE: Ham and Lima beans help. please. - Snake46 - 05-18-2024 That boys and girls is why they make menus..😂 RE: Ham and Lima beans help. please. - olfart - 05-18-2024 (05-18-2024, 11:15 AM)Snake46 Wrote: That boys and girls is why they make menus..😂 I thought it was why they make recipes. Unless you wanted to go to a restaurant that serves lima beans. Recipes are guides ment to be bent and twisted to fit your desired outcome Except baking, you can’t screw with baking recipes RE: Ham and Lima beans help. please. - tommag - 05-19-2024 (05-19-2024, 07:54 AM)Rampy Wrote:Does that mean I can't substitute powdered sugar for flour? Do they taste the same?? made the spicy tomato gravy & eggs this morning and used lots of garlic & EVOO and other leftovers not following any recipe but went in the general direction and it was tasty & will help make a carb free turd 🤪🤪 RE: Ham and Lima beans help. please. - tommag - 05-20-2024 I cooked the Lima beans with what I had on hand. Onion, garlic, ham soup base and a ham steak from the freezer. It's hard to screw up beans, but I did my best to ruin it. Most of the basic flavors were there but I should've picked up a ham hock and some celery. It was way too bland. A ham hock would've gone a long way to make it richer.
