Nothing fancy, just sauteed onions, carrots, garlic and celery. Took some chicken thighs out of the freezer, added water and chicken bullion powder. That's currently simmering with a bay leaf, thyme, and pepper. I'll pull the chicken out and shred it while the wide egg noodles are cooking, then put it back in.
The broth is just right! It's hard to screw this one up but I'll try my darndest!

Don't forget the chicken feet! They're supposed to be what give it its healing properties.
Ha, Chinese love chicken feet
Best way I had em was BBQ in Philippines like a lollipop 🤣

Sometimes our screwups turn out to better than the plan.

My dad used to use the expression, “Livin’ high on the hog” He explained that the higher you go on the animal, the better the cut; pork belly > pigs feet, ham is better than shank, backstrap and tenderloin is the best. Then he would say, “I’ve been poor, but I’ve never been poor enough to eat pigs feet or ham hocks!”
I feel I’d be betraying him to some extent if I ate chicken feet 😂 😆 🤣
