Field report

We had 2 doe tags left. Now we have 1.

AR pistol, 450 Bushmaster, 10.5” barrel, 100 yards, through and through, Hornady Black 250 gr FTX

I’m very impressed with the deadliness and accuracy of this pistol. We got her home and took her jacket off. It turns out I hit her twice. Both shots hit lungs- one hit a rib on the way in and shoulder on the way out. Both bullets passed completely through.

I was quite happy to discover that I didn’t miss the first shot. (But a lung shot will often move a few yards. I should know better, but when she kept walking, I shot again.)

That'll work nicely in the freezer!
