I put all the ingredients for split pea soup and barley in the crockpot. Jason, kk7rgb made it yesterday and he says the barley really makes it pop. I'm looking forward to it tonight!

I’m “cheap” and try to find the best deal for everything, it’s why we drove 500 miles to trade in a car for a new one
just had a bagel with almond butter, found these bagels & I’ve really missed having the occasional bagel

It does sound tasty, I’ve never been a soup fan, had lots of soup growing up as it’s cheap & what we could afford & was always hungry not long after eating
However, I’m an old man now so might try soup again

I've never seen that brand around these parts. The "packed with whole grains" part wouldn't work with my low carb diet anyway. I did find a keto bread at my local Kroger. It looks and tastes just like white bread. They also make it in hamburger and hot dog buns. The buns are usuall harder to find in stock. It's made mostly of different fibers.

Ya the carb count is high, but for an occasional treat as I’m never going to stick to a diet & a n
bagel with almond butter is filling and cures the munchies
Heck had 3 eggs & 1 packet of grits for breakfast & this bagel for supper & that’s all I had yesterday, oh and a 130 calorie 30gram protein drink 🤷♂️
I’ve tried keto bread and it’s like cardboard & falls apart soooo very easy & end up having to force myself to eat it as the wife won’t touch it
the ingredients are decent & no corn syrup or other garbage

This is the Keto bread I use:
They also have a King's Hawaiian version and a seed version. I've never found the seed version in my Kroger.

Tonight’s Factor supper:
Loaded Bacon & Spinach Shredded Chicken with Roasted Brussels Sprouts & Ranch Sour Cream.
The chicken chunks were inconsistent. Some were tender and moist and some were dry and tough. I didn’t taste any bacon. I like Brussels Sprouts and these were good. I wish there was more of them. I marked this one a NO!
