Old VS Old Round 1- Part 5: Old Elk Kentucky Straight Bourbon VS Old Soul Straight Kentucky Bourbon!
Bottom Line:
Old Elk - No burn on the nose but a light clove spice note. Very light burn followed by clove and wood with a hint of coconut at the end.
Old Soul - No burn on the nose, followed by sweetness and wood. I got medium burn on the palate but John didn’t. Slight sweetness followed by rye spice & wood.
AlphaRomeo15 was originally created to help give a home to displaced members of the AR15 Armory which was suddenly shut down without so much as a notice! Some members made it here but many were lost. The PAZRT forum was broken beyond repair and barely active so I just couldn't justify the cost of maintaining 2 forums so it only made sense to invite any remaining PAZRT members to AlphaRomeo15 so they also have a place to gather!
Both forums were very similar so I don't think you guys will have any problems getting to know the Armory guys! Everyone is basically here for the same reasons...guns, knives cuisine, spirits and preparedness! Hopefully we can all strengthen this forum and build it up to a huge wealth of knowledge and community like the old forums were at one time!
On the repeater tonight, Bill asked me to lookup one our expats from here who settled in the Philippines. He lives on Panay Island, about 250 miles se of subic bay. Looking at Google maps I fell in love with it, great radio location and an island paradse! I started researching a bit and it turns out there is a sultan of Panay. I looked the political situation up because I'm aware of the morros in the Philippines.
Oh well, so much for that idea.
